Carine Magescas is a French photographer who moved to the US in 1998.
After 15 years in California, she now lives and works in New York City.
Her photography was first discovered after she launched a collaborative photo blog in 2010: 2Filles2Villes.com (French for 2Girls2Cities.com), a dialog in photos with a friend in Paris; one picture each per week, forming a dyptich with a dynamic of its own.
Since then, Magescas’ work has been exhibited in New York, London, Nantucket, Greenwich and the Hamptons and her photographs hang in homes and private collections from Hong Kong to London. This is the first time the photographs are “back home” and exhibited in San Francisco.
